This is done without problems, to delete (page 'cutter') a page in the document, you leave the program, you choose the PDF file, delete a page and the file is stored with a _deleted mark in the same folder.
The eraser does not really erase text, as it cannot handle a PDF in the 'true' mode. I overlays the side with an blank image of the size of the eraser mark. This is DANGEROUS, because any PDF reader can copy the 'invisible' text under the 'deleted' image. It is of course not deleted, but hidden.
