mimoLive is a live video production software developed and published by Boinx Software Ltd., a German software company that is specialised in applications for macOS and iOS.First launched in 2016, mimolive is the successor of BoinxTV first launched in 2008. It is geared towards professional video live switching and broadcasting software.
mimoLive is a software suite for recording and live streaming. It provides real-time source and device capture, scene composition, encoding, recording, and broadcasting. Transmission of data is primarily done via the Real Time Messaging Protocol (RTMP) and can be sent to any RTMP supporting destination, including many presets for streaming websites such as YouTube, Twitch, Instagram and Facebook.
From Version 1.0 to 1.9 the software was called BoinxTV. Since Version 2.0[7] the software is called mimoLive. The name mimoLive is combination of the acronym MIMO, which stands for multiple-input and multiple-output, and live.
